About Project:
Designed with the university in mind, the Collaborative Energy Complex (CEC) houses a few of the university’s energy-focused majors as well as providing an environment that allows for young ideas to flourish. The CEC aims to heighten student’s engagement in energy issues through high-tech research labs and spaces that convey the educational, historical and informational aspects of the complex. As part of this design, we at ILI provided a canopy and sunshade that complemented the educational institution it is connected to while subtly partnering with the space to achieve the goal of energy-efficiency.
